=================== WCYR Update - July 2007 =================== Contents: * New Members * Survey * New Logo * Website Progress * TYRF State Convention * WCYR Social * Upcoming Dates -------------------------------------- New Members -------------------------------------- In the last two months, we have had four new members sign-up: Mary Kate Anderson Bart & Sherry Lane Matt McWilliams -------------------------------------- Survey -------------------------------------- You should have received a survey about WCYR. If you haven't responded already, I urge you to do so. The information gathered will be used for future planning by the executive committee. Depending on response, results should be tallied and available by the August meeting. -------------------------------------- New Logo -------------------------------------- We have decided on a new logo, which can be seen at: http://dragon.tnweb.com/~jedlin/wcyr/officiallogo.png Our next step is to get stickers and a sign that utilize the new logo. -------------------------------------- Website Progress -------------------------------------- The website is progressing. All basic content has been created, and the basic site layout is complete. Once the graphics are finished, we will be able to go live with the website. -------------------------------------- TYRF State Convention -------------------------------------- The Tennessee Young Republican Federation is holding their bi-annual state convention this year in Memphis. Activities include Friday night dinner at the Rendezvous, a tour of the National Civil Rights Museum, and a trip to Graceland. Congressman Blackburn will speak at the Saturday night bandquet. State officers will be elected at the convention. Williamson County regulars Dustin Dunbar and Angela Hoover are running for offices. Williamson County needs to have six delegates in attendance. If you are interested in being a delegate, please let me know as soon as possible. Join us at the Tin Roof in Cool Springs on August 3. The party starts at 6:30 PM and lasts until we all go home.
