Congressman Marsha Blackburn to Host Spending Crisis Listening Session

WASHINGTON- Congressman Marsha Blackburn (TN-7) announced a series of listening sessions to take place on tax week. The meetings will focus on federal taxes, spending, and debt. The Williamson County meeting will take place on tax day, Monday, April 18th, at the New Hope Community Church.

Williamson County Republican Party Convention

January Meeting and February Elections

Battleground BreweryPlease join us for our first meeting of the New Year at Battle Ground Brewery in Franklin from 6-8pm. We will have Chris Suitter from Big Brothers/Big Sisters let us know ways we can help their program. In addition, State Representative Mark White will speak to us about what to expect this session. Rep. White was recently elected Republican House Caucus Assistant Floor Leader and will be working closely with the newly elected Freshman members of the Legislature.

The WCYR Executive Board elections will take place at our February meeting. If you are interested in running for the office of Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, or Parliamentarian, please let the current Chairman, Laura Bond, know by sending an email to laura.bond@comcast.net.

Karl Rove in Franklin

Karl RoveConservatives On the Move will be hosting Karl Rove on April 9th, 2011 at 7pm located at the Marriott Cool Springs in Franklin Tennessee. Special guest speakers Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey, Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam, and event MC Steve Gill will be in attendance. There will also be a power lunch for 20 people from 1 to 2:30 pm. This time is an opportunity for you to pick the foremost expert in politics brain.

There is limited seating and we expect a very large turnout so please get your tickets early. We are offering a 10% off of the ticket price if you purchase before September 1st (You may pay via check or credit card at http://conservativesonthemove.org). Your contribution will be tax-deductible as we are a non-profit organization.

Here is the breakdown of ticket prices:

  • Power Lunch (Limit 20 people) $1000 (includes a signed book, photo with Karl, and an hour and a half lunch.)
  • Dinner at Karl’s Table (Limit 9) $1000 (includes signed book, photo, reception prior to event, VIP section, and other perks to be announced.)
  • VIP Dinner (Limit 100) $500 (includes signed book, photo, reception prior to event, VIP section, and other perks to be announced.)
  • Dinner (space is limited) $200 (book signing, and other things to be announced)

Here are the table prices prior to September 1st:

VIP Table is $5000 (10% discount and free lunch ticket for the purchaser)
Dinner Table is $2000 (10% discount and autographed book).
